This is my Go-to recipe on a weekday when I don’t have time or energy to cook. You can have these Kabobs as is or you can add them in a wrap with some raw onion, lettuce and cucumber. You can pull the meat apart and make sandwich or quesadillas. I can go on and on…but you get an idea!
This is what you need.
Chicken cut into 2 inch pieces.
Whipping cream.
White pepper powder.
Cardamom powder.
Nutmeg powder.
Brown Sugar.
Cumin Powder.
Coriander Powder.
Finely crushed Saffron.
Ginger Paste.
Garlic Paste.
Red Chilly Flakes.
Finely crushed Mace.
Finely crushed Cloves.
2-3 Teaspoons melted Butter.
Salt to taste.
I normally eyeball the ingredients and I don’t have the exact measures of the ingredients.
Mix all the ingredients together and marinade the chicken for about 30 mins. You can adjust the spices according to your taste.
Arrange the chicken pieces on skewers and bake in a preheated 375 F oven for about 25 minutes. If you feel the Kabobs are getting a little dry you can apply some of the marinade on it after every few minutes to keep them moist. After they are baked switch the broiler on for 3-4 minutes. The broiler will help get the charred flavor to the meat.
If you are doing this on a open flame or open grill the meat will get broiled better automatically.
Serve with your choice of condiment. I served it with tamarind and date chutney. The spicy Kabobs go well with the sweet chutney.
